How to Relax in London

Are you stuck in a rut and stressed out by London life? Don´t know where to begin saving time and getting a bit more breathing space?

Life in the city can be stressful, so it’s important to take the time out to snap out of autopilot and assess how you want to spend your time. Do you really need to do all those chores straightaway – wouldn’t it be easier to delegate them to other people, where possible?

What things actually fills up your day? Are there things you could drop or minimize to make space for more meaningful activities? Wouldn’t you rather go for a walk in the park and spend time in the fresh air, rather than cleaning the flat or staying late at work?

For a person with a busy, cluttered schedule, the thought of taking a time out is just too overwhelmingly stressful, but it’s worth challenging yourself to free at least one hour to contemplate your situation. It might provide some powerful relevations, as we tend to have tunnel vision when we’re stressed.

Take as much time you feel comfortable with and make the best of it. Leave work on time, take the phone off the hook, unplug the TV and leave the chores to someone else. Run a bath and relax instead. If worst comes to worst, you can always spend an afternoon at one of London’s best spas!
